Barre, VT — After two weeks of rest, relaxation and major preparation, the American-Canadian Tour is ready to return to their New Hampshire home of White Mountain Motorsports Park for the 6th annual Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on Saturday, August 5th. The second-consecutive $10,000 to win, extra-distance showdown for the ACT faithful will see many an invading challenger ready to take on the driver-favorite bullring as the championship chase begins to grow ever more serious with three events in August set to shake up the standings.

The obvious standouts at the top of the heap are Barre, Vermont’s Jason Corliss and Center Conway, New Hampshire’s D.J. Shaw. While Corliss has indicated the rest of his 2023 season will be a pick-and-choose affair, Shaw is successfully defending his 2022 ACT Tour title. The Milton CAT 250 puts them back in the limelight for other reasons too. The past two editions of the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic have featured race-ending, white knuckle battles between the two. 2021 saw Corliss punt under Shaw on the final turn, with his hood up across the windshield no less, while 2022 saw the two get physical again on the final restart with Shaw coming out on top. Now that both hold a Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 trophy, will the rivalry escalate to see who can be the first to make it two?

Along with Corliss and Shaw, the all-star line-up currently includes some of the biggest heavy-hitters in the Northeast. After winning the Fall Foliage 200 last September, St-Denis, Quebec’s Patrick Laperle is looking to add the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 to his impressive and iconic American-Canadian Tour career. 2022 Rookie of the Year Alexendre ‘Fireball’ Tardif and former Serie ACT Quebec champion Jonathan Bouvrette will also make the trip south to join a strong Quebecois contingent for the big money, extra distance affair.

Eight-time ACT Tour champion Brian Hoar and nine-time, and defending, White Mountain ‘King of the Mountain’ Quinny Welch will both return to competition for the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on Saturday, as will 2020 ACT Tour champion Jimmy Hebert. Top tour standouts Gabe Brown, Jimmy Renfrew Jr., Derek Gluchacki and Erick Sands will all be digging for their first 250-lap victory, as will White Mountain weekly warriors Matt Anderson, Kyle Goodbout, Jaden Perry and Ryan Olsen, among others.

The American-Canadian Tour returns to White Mountain Motorsports Park for the 6th annual Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on Saturday, August 5th. Over the past five years, the Milton CAT 250 has become an instant fan-favorite event with drivers from across the Northeast set to flock down Route 3 in North Woodstock in search of the $10,000 winner’s check and join the short-list of a modern-era who’s who that have taken all the marbles. Post Time is set at 5:15pm on Saturday, August 5th with adult general admission available for $30, children 12-6 for $10 with kids 5 and under free! The Family Four Pass will also be available for $70. The Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 will also be streamed live on Racing America for subscribers.
