After practice and qualifying it looked like it was going to be a Justin Bonsignore kind of day. Early in the feature it looked like Justin was going to dominate the race and take over the points lead. Justin took the lead early and watched as drivers like Austin Beer, Tommy Catalano and others fought for second place.
Justin was headed to what looked to be a victory when after a restart lost the lead then tangled with the lapped car of Gary McDonald fighting for second place with Tommy Catalano sending the #51 Pheonix Communications car hard into the turn one foam.
Once the race returned to green after the Bonsignore wreck Austin Beers challenged Ron Silk but when Austin went up the track and lost several spots the race was Ron Silks to lose. Austin got back to Silk but ran out of time to challenge him for the win. Justin’s car was too damaged to return to the race and was relegated to a 15th place finish.
Ron Silk’s 4th win of the season will increase his point lead at the NASCAR WMT heads to Monadnock Speedway for the JDV Productions Winchester Fair race September 9th and Riverhead Raceway September 16th for Eddie Partridge 256.
