DELMAR, DE – Trying again.

Delaware International Speedway is scheduled to return to action on Friday, Sept. 22 at the Sussex County half-mile oval.

After each of the last two events have been canceled due to rain, the Sept. 22 event comes with hopes of finally returning to racing.

The Rapid Tire Services USAC East Coast Sprint Cars return for their second, and final, visit of the season to the clay oval.

Kenny Miller was victorious the last time the 360 wingless warriors were in town.

The Millman’s NAPA Modifieds also join the Friday night racing program for a $3,000-to-win main event.

Georgetown, Del.’s Carson Wright was victorious the last time the Modifieds raced at Delmar, taking his first career Modified victory.

Milford, Del.’s Jordan Watson has ridden consistency to the top of the Millman’s NAPA Modified standings, holding a 28-point advantage over Neshanic Station, N.J.’s Matt Stangle.

Also on the Sept. 22 docket are the Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman, RUSH Late Models, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Little Lincolns, and Delmarva Chargers.

The night of racing is also the final night before the Delaware State Dirt Championship Weekend at Delaware International Speedway on November 17-18.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. One ticket booth will open at 3 p.m. for early pit admission. Hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m., with racing at 7:15 p.m.

Admission is $25 (Adults), $20 for Seniors (ages 65 and up) & Students (ages 13-17). Kids (ages 9-12) pay $10 and Children 8 and under are FREE.

Pit admission is $40 (Non-Members), $35 (NASCAR Members), $10 Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children (ages 5 and under).
