CLAREMONT, NH – Four drivers won their first victory ever at Claremont Motorsports Park, two more won for the first time this season, and Robert Hagar, a previous 2026 Super Street winner, scored his first career Outlaw Late Model victory Friday.
And while it was Hagar’s first Outlaw win, it was the third this summer for the chariot he piloted to Country Fuels VIctory Lane on Friday. The Windsor, VT ace was victorious in his maiden voyage aboard the potent Streeter Construction 22 entry, a rocketship already piloted to 2026 wins by both Brandon Gray and Guy Caron.
Teen sensation Hayden Bushey, in only his third career outing in a Tour Type Late Model, and first at Claremont, showed the veterans how it’s done, storming to his first career victory, and not to be outdone, Cody LeBlanc, Jeremy Ruggeri, and Jessica Bosowski also earned their first checkered flag lap around the Thrasher Road speedplant.
Super Street hot shoe Joe Tetreault, who’d followed Chris Riendeau into victory lane several times earlier this season, brought Riendeau’s winning streak to an end at six with his strong run Friday, and former SIx Shooter track king Steve Miller Jr.also blasted to his own first win of the season.
With double points up for grabs in all seven divisions Friday on McGee Auto Dealerships Night at CMP, the action was fast and furious from start to finish.
After an 80-minute rain delay, the LaValley Building Supply Pure Stocks started the night’s action, with Ben Smith and Trevor Chamberlin sitting up front as chief starter Chris Horton sent them on their way,
Smith was first at the point, and then Chamberlin, with Ruggeri – strong but still winless in recent weeks – closing fast from row three. The Unity, NH hot shoe took charge on lap seven but soon had five-time winner Chris Chambers knocking at the door.
Undaunted, Ruggeri held a perfect line, while Chambers would soon have unwanted company of his own. Adrian Smith, from way back in tenth on the grid, blasted into third on lap ten and then took second from Chambers six laps later.
Ruggeri, though, was up to the challenge, holding Smith in his shadow to score his first career win. With Smith second, Chambers kept a big lead atop the points parade with his third-place run Friday. Gage Dillingham was fourth on the night, and Chamberlin came home fifth.
Previous winner Tyler Lescord led the first 21 laps of Friday’s Outlaw Late Model main event, while Robert Hagar – from row four was just getting used to his new ride. Taking second from car owner and team mate for the night Robbie Streeter on lap 21, Hagar took charge the next time around and never looked back.
With Hagar scoring his first career Outlaw win in Friday’s 35-lapper, Streeter finished two lengths behind in second – where he’d finished two weeks earlier behind Caron in his own team car – and still atop the Outlaw points parade. Rock-solid Trevor Rocke earned third place honors, with Cody Schoolcraft and Josh Ruel rounding out the top five.
Starting up front, veteran hot shoe Allen Fellows took control of the Tour Type Late Model feature on lap three and held the top spot the next dozen go-rounds. Top points man Stephen Donahue was mired in traffic, and red hot rookie Hayden Bushey was on the charge from row four.
Fellows and Bushey hit the stripe dead even on lap 16 and the next time around the rookie was in the lead. Donahue got up for second on lap 28 but Bushey would hold strong to score a seven-length lead and his first career win on the fast third-mile.
Donahue’s runner-up finish kept him atop the championship chart, and Fellows completed his strong night’s work in third.
A week earlier, Joe Tetreault had chased Chris Riendeau for lap after lap without finding a way to the front in the RE HInkley Fuels Super Streets. This time around, those roles were reversed.
With the exception of one quick swap on lap seven, the Enfield ace led all the way to score his first win of the season with Riendeau glued to his bumper. Robert Hagar, turning in a huge double duty Friday night, was third in the Super Streets, with Erik Smith fourth, and Marc Laroche Jr. fifth.
Cody LeBlanc had trophied many times in several divisions at CMP in recent years. Victory, though, had eluded him. Friday, the Mini Stock speedster checked that box.
LeBlanc took the lead from CMP Mini Stock king Kyle Templeton on lap 12 and never looked back en route to the winner’s circle. Previous winner Nick Miller was second on the night, with Templeton staying atop the points parade in third. Kodi Sabins, victorious the last time out, was fourth Friday, and Andrea St. Amour came home fifth.
Blasting off from row four, Jessica Bosowski took charge on lap 14 and soared away to her first win in the JP’s Trucking Ridge Runners, Trevyr Young was two lengths behind in second, with top points man Lane Lantas third. Brian Caswell and early leader Konner Janovsky were fourth and fifth.
Rookie Heath Laware came up one lap shy of scoring his first career win in the Six Shooters Friday night. That one lap was the final one, and it belonged to former track champ Steve Miller Jr.
Starting up front, Laware darted to the lap one lead and almost wired the 25-lapper. But when he opened the door ever so little on his final charge into turn one, Miller pounced, taking the lead and, with it, his first 2026 win. With Laware second, Lincoln Herschel was third on the night.
Steve Miller Sr. took the checkers fourth, with Michael Casey’s fifth-place finish good enough to bring him even with Meghan Bell atop the 2026 points parade. Bell dropped out of the double points event on lap nine.
Friday’s scheduled Karting Series Tiger Sprints event was postponed after the late afternoon rainfall left the inner oval unsafe for competition.Claremont Motorsports Park will return to action next Friday, July 3, with a full card of NASCAR Local Racing Series, along with the second 2026 Spectator Racing and Enduro events. Post time at New England’s fastest third-mile oval is 7 p.m. each Friday.
