Kaiden Fisher Put it All Together to Take Spring Green Win at Seekonk Speedway

eekonk, MA — With the threat of rain hanging over Seekonk Speedway throughout the day on Saturday, the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour saw twenty-six teams enter the Cement Palace for the 51st Spring Green. Championship hopeful Kaiden Fisher, Seekonk Speedway regular Ryan Flood and leading rookie Jacob Burns each took heat race wins to set the field.

Surprise entry Tanner Woodard earned the pole position with a +3 while Blainville, Quebec’s Jonathan Bouvrette started alongside. Using the outside groove, Bouvrette led the early circuits before Jacob Burns took over on lap 18. Burns, a former track champion of Seekonk Speedway, began to extend his lead as Kaiden Fisher and Gabe Brown began to enter the picture.

What started out great turned sour for Bouvrette who started to backslide with a right-rear tire going down. It finally gave out completely, sending him spinning in turn one to call out the lone caution of the event. On the restart Burns once again launched off with the lead and drove away, fighting with lap traffic before too long and, unknowingly, setting up his own demise.

After stalking Burns through the traffic, the sea split for Kaiden Fisher to take control on lap 84 and, with Burns having used up his tires, handily walked away to take the 51s running of the Spring Green 126. With the win, young Fisher joins a cast of the greatest drivers in Northeast Late Model racing including Dave Dion, Brian Hoar, Beaver and Bobby Dragon, Jean-Paul Cyr, Ralph Nason and Junior Hanley.

Jacob Burns held on for second with Gabe Brown taking third. Tanner Woodard, setting the car up last night after the call was made to cancel events at White Mountain Motorsports Park due to forecasted rain, took fourth. Jimmy Renfrew Jr. rounded out the top five.

Ryan Flood was the top Seekonk weekly racer in sixth followed by Jesse Switser, Jake Johnson, Remi Perreault and Erick Sands to round out the top ten.

The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour is back in action next Sunday, June 14 for the second round of the Brookside Equipment Sales Triple Crown at Star Speedway with the Coastal Clash 150. The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour joins in alongside the New England Supermodified Series, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models, PASS Modifieds and the Slingshot/Mad Bomber Challenge with a 1:35pm Post Time.
