Lancaster Motorplex Releases 65th Season Schedule

LANCASTER, N.Y. (November 16, 2023) – The 65th season of racing at Lancaster Motorplex is shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons in the history of the facility. Lancaster Motorplex hopes that the 2024 schedule will be just like the track’s slogan; “Old Traditions, New Memories”.

The 2024 season will kick off with the Registration Party on Saturday, March 16. On track activities will begin on Saturday, April 27th with an Open Practice session open to all competitors. 

The 65th Season Opener will take place on Saturday, May 4th at 2:30pm. The Sportsman, Late Models, New York Super Stocks, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and Mighty TQ Midgets will all be on the card. The Tour-Type Modifieds will be returning to Lancaster frequently, with their first race of the season taking place on Saturday, May 11. The Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders will be joining the Modifieds, with the opening green flag taking place at 2:30pm. Saturday, May 18 will feature the Sportsman in the traditional 50-lap event at 6:30pm. The Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and TQ Midgets will be rounding out the race card. 

June 1 will be the highly anticipated Must See Racing Sprint Cars make their inaugural visit to Lancaster. The Must See Sprints will be joined by the Sportsman, Street Stocks, and the first race of the season on the big track for the 4 Cylinders at 6pm. Rain date of June 2 will be utilized if needed. The 350 SMAC Supermodifieds will return to Lancaster on Saturday, June 15th at 6pm with the Sportsman, Street Stocks, and the 4 Cylinders on the big track. There will be a rain date of June 16th for the 350 SMAC event. The month of June will close out on Thursday, June 27 for the first of two appearances by the Race of Champions Modified Series in the running of the Ol’ Boy Cup 60. The Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and TQ Midgets will be on the card that will begin at 7:00pm. 

Racing will continue into the month of July on Saturday, July 13th for Autograph Night featuring the Tour-Type Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and TQ Midgets at 6pm. The following week will feature the second visits of the season for both the New York Super Stocks and the Late Models, plus Sportsman, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and TQ Midgets at 6pm. 

Saturday, August 3rd will be the third running of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour 150, plus Sportsman, Street Stocks, and the 4 Cylinders on the big track. Racing will begin at 5pm, with a rain date of Sunday, August 4 being utilized if needed. The Modifieds will also be headlining the program on Saturday, August 17th at 6pm as the Race of Champions Modified Series will present the Tribute to Tommy Druar/Tony Jankowiak 110. The Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and TQ Midgets will also be in competition. The month of August will end on Thursday, August 29 at 7pm with the Sportsman, Late Models, Street Stocks, and TQ Midgets. 

The final points night of the season will take place on Saturday, September 7 for Championship Night featuring the Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and TQ Midgets. The season will come to a close with the 36th running of the US Open on September 27-28, with September 29th as a rain date. The 36th US Open will feature a new and exciting format which will be released in the coming weeks.
