MIDDLETOWN, NY (April 25)……..DIRTcar Big Block Modified driver Jack Lehner, Saratoga Springs,
New York, and Tri-State Dry Wall Sportsman driver Jeff Higham, Stormville, New York, will defend
their respective 2025 championships when the Big Series 3 races return to Orange County Fair
Speedway in Middletown, New York, with the opening night event set for Sunday, May 3. Last year’s
Interstate Batteries of Southern New York Street Stock champion Jack Beaumont, Tabernacle, New
Jersey, will not defend his title; he’s taking a break from racing to get married!
“We’re expecting strong and solid fields in all three divisions,” said co-promoter Brett Hearn. “Jack
(Lehner) is a rising star in the Dirtcar Modified world and Jeff (Higham) is one of our most consistent
Sportsman competitors. They’ll have to bring their ‘A-game’ to repeat as champions. And with the Street
Stock division wide open, we expect increased fields of the full-bodied cars as well.”
Presented by M. Falanga Trucking, including the “Joey Falanga Memorial Feature Race,” the first
green flag on Sunday, May 3 is set for 6:00 pm. For competitors, the pits will open at 2:00 pm; the
stands and popular Drive-In at 3:00 pm. Hot Laps are set for 4:45 pm, with Opening Ceremonies at
5:45 pm. “We strive for a fast pace and efficient program so everyone can get home as early as
possible,” said co-promoter Doug Dulgarian. “The Modified feature will be first after the brief
intermission.”
