Austin Beers in the AP Marquadt & Sons/Lumiere Electrical/Andrew James Interiors #64 captured another Mayhew Tools pole award today at North Wilkesboro Speedway. 38 NASCAR WMT Modifieds took time at the historic return of the series.

Austin took the pole over Matt Hirschman #60, Patrick Emerling #14, Justin Bonsignore #51 and Craig Lutz #82.

Other Notables: Ron Silk who is battling Justin Bonsignore for the points lead could only muster a 12th place run. Former NASCAR Cup drivers and teammates Bobby Labonte #38 and Ryan Newman #39 qualified 9th and 11th respectably.

Kyle Bonsignore #22 who won at Langley in August was 21st. Burt Myers #1 was 19th.

The track surface at North Wilkesboro is worn out and very abrasive so the drivers that can take care of their tires, drivers like Matt Hirshman that are traditionally smooth should have an advantage. Starting up front should also be an advantage.

Note: NASCAR will increase the stated 32 starting field and all 38 drivers will start tonight’s Brushy Mountain Powersports 150.

The race will be broadcast on FloRacing with the green flag scheduled to drop at 8:00PM.
