N. Woodstock, NH — In what has been the most unconventional race season since the COVID-19 breakout, rain has been catastrophic to the racing community in 2023 and White Mountain Motorsports Park is far from unscathed. The Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models have also felt this summer’s rainy bite, having had their double point Midseason Championship moved twice already and hoping that the third time’s the charm.

White Mountain officials have opted to place the Matt Clay Memorial midseason championship for the Mini Late Models as part of the action-packed R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock Open 100 on Saturday, September 9th. Along with the Matt Clay Memorial for the Mini Late Models and the $5,000 to win showdown for the Open Street Stocks, the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series will crown the Late Model series champion in their third and final 100-lap event of the 2023 season along with the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars!

The double point Matt Clay Memorial will serve as the penultimate event for the Mini Late Models in their hunt for the 2023 track championship with a $100 cash bonus paid out to each of the top-10 finishers courtesy of Cody LeBlanc Racing and Quinny Welch in memory of longtime crew member and White Mountain supporter Matt Clay.

“We looked at the possibility of adding another Mini Late Model race but there simply isn’t a good fit,” said White Mountain managing partner Cris Michaud. “The Minis have their big Thunder Road tour race on Labor Day weekend and with the PASS invasion as part of the Fall Foliage there isn’t any room in the pit area. I’m excited to see the Mini Late Models have their big Matt Clay Memorial alongside the R&R Street Stock Open and the Wall’s Ford Platinum championship to complete a great, can’t-miss show.”

Following their planned off-weekend following the busy Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 on August 5, White Mountain Motorsports Park returns to action this Saturday, August 19th to crown the Central Asphalt Paving Triple Crown Champion! Alongside the 75-lap Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tiger showdown, the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and Wayne’s Market Dwarf Cars are also joined by the Maine-based Wicked Good Vintage Racers Association! Post Time is set for 6:00pm with adult general admission set at $15, children 12 to 6 for $5 and kids five and under free! The Family Four Pass (two adults, two kids) is also available for $30.
